Las Vegas Weddings

Lucy Hamilton

Thinking about getting married, but don't want to go through the same home-town wedding run around as everyone else? You should consider getting away to Las Vegas with an exclusive group of family and friends to spend some time away while you tie the knot. There are a vast number of venues to have you wedding at in Las Vegas, ranging from basic to breathtaking.

Depending on your preference, Las Vegas has plenty of wedding styles to choose from. There are hundreds of wedding chapels who are eager to give you the best wedding experience possible. They offer many options depending on your needs and taste. Many chapels have the ceremony on site, but others include scenic helicopter rides and may have the actual wedding outdoors in a picturesque location. If you want something different for your wedding, a scenic helicopter wedding is something to consider.

Another popular wedding attraction in Vegas is the infamous Elvis wedding at the Graceland Chapel. Of course, they have several packages you can choose from. All of the Elvis wedding packages include at least two songs by Elvis, as well as Elvis escorting the bride and giving her away.  The packages go up from there; Graceland Chapel's most expensive package, the Famous Dueling Elvis Package, includes both young and older Elvis.

In addition to having numerous theme options, Las Vegas can be very affordable to be married in. Many chapels only have a $100 charge for the wedding license and minister fees. If you plan ahead, you can find cheap round trip plane tickets to and from Las Vegas, as well as save on hotel accommodations. Transportation in Las Vegas is also very affordable.

Of course, Las Vegas is also a great place to get married because of all easy access to entertainment. There are a plethora of casinos and live shows, as well as nearly anything else you may desire. In this way, you can mix your wedding with a vacation to one of the nation's hotspots.

Las Vegas weddings are definitely unique and very different than what most people do, but that is part of the novelty. Las Vegas is a great place to have your wedding, especially if you have a small wedding party or need to get away for a while. Las Vegas also provides a less formal atmosphere for your wedding.
